The 2009 Mid South R/c pro series was held in Flowood, Mississippi. The track conditions were muddy due to the rain the night before the qualifying. I only had a little time to break in my new Murnan Modifed motor for qualifying since the track was muddy. When it came to qualifying the motor ran awesome in every heat, I didn't have any problems with tune. The motor idled good throughout the whole day. I was getting 7 minutes and 30 seconds on a tank probably due to the track being very loose therefore wasting a lot of gas. In the Final event the motor held together strong for me to be able to catch back up to Alan Burton due to the mistakes I was making. I was able to catch him due to longer pits than his motor, he happened to flame out at the last 30 seconds of the race which I knew from then on I had it as long as nothing happened. When it came to the end of the race, I was able to cross the line while running out of gas, the race was very intense for both Alan and I through the 30 minute A-main, but my Murnan motor was super fast the whole weekend and had a lot of compliments. Thanks to Uriah for making a reliable engine for me!
